Continuous Hot Dip Galvanizing

Since Europe applied hot-dip galvanizing to industry in 1836, it has a history of 140 years. However, the hot-dip galvanizing industry has been developed on a large scale in the past 30 years along with the rapid development of cold-rolled strip steel. 


The production process of hot-dip galvanized coils mainly includes: original sheet preparation → pretreatment(Clean surface) → hot-dip galvanizing → post-galvanizing treatment → finished product inspection, etc. 


According to custom, the hot-dip galvanizing process is often divided into two categories: off-line annealing and on-line annealing according to the different raw materials of steel coils. namely, off-line annealing wet-flux method (chemical continuous hot-dip galvanizing method), on-line annealing Sendzimir method (protective gas method), improved Sendzimir method, US Steel method (same as Japan Kawasaki method), Selas method and Sharon method.

Energy-saving Advantages
HiTo annealing furnace burner has an efficient heat exchanger, heating combustion air above 400 °C, cutting gas use and saving energy. Exhaust gas heat exchangers heat cleaning fluids, and the furnace’s waste heat recovery system replaces steam/electricity for cleaning liquid and drying system heating, ensuring good synchronization.
Tension & Running Control Advantages
Tension measuring and two-roller tension rollers are placed in front of the furnace. Closed-loop control of internal tension shields steel strip from external tension changes, ensuring smoother running and better shape in the furnace.
Heating & Cooling Tech Advantages
HiTo uses non-oxidation direct flame combustion with preheating to heat steel strip, featuring high speed, high efficiency, and energy savings. Advanced RJC cooling device and AC frequency conversion control cooling rate and end temperature precisely.
Equipment Structure & Protection Advantages
Except for the bottom bricklaying of the non-oxidation furnace, the lining is lightweight with ceramic fiber, reducing heat dissipation and control inertia. The sealed furnace prevents steel strip oxidation and guarantees a safe, controllable internal atmosphere.
Zinc Pot & Coating Control Advantages
The jet ceramic induction zinc pot heats fast, evenly, with long life and little zinc dross. HiTo's advanced single-nozzle air knife controls coating thickness and uniformity well. It also uses a double-coating-head passivation roller coater.
Product Quality & Stable Production Advantages
Optional HiTo 4-rollers skin pass mill (with double support roller drive) boosts surface quality, eliminates yield platform, and improves cold stamping. The HiTo tension leveler refines strip shape and quality, enhancing competitiveness. Reliable CPC and EPC plus AC variable frequency drive system ensure stable production and easy maintenance.
